Postpartum Doula

Postpartum doulas offer in-home support to families in the early stages post birth. Traditionally called “the first forty days,” it is ideal that a mother is nourished, supported, and rests as much as possible - and that’s where a doula comes in. We support the household, the mother, and the partner (as well as other siblings), to create a sense of ease, and peace as you all begin this new chapter.

Because birth is dynamic, the postpartum period is also dynamic. I flow with your needs, and meet the family where they need to be met once they are home.

A prenatal home visit is required, after initial consult, to go over the postpartum plan, set up the home making sure you have all necessary items to support you postnatally. I can answer any questions for you as we build a solid support system for your postpartum journey, talk about referrals, and resources, process any past trauma’s that may affect postpartum, and go over the extensive intake you will fill out prior to our first meeting.

  • All postpartum clients receive reiki as part of my service, no matter how many hours you book.

  • There is no minimum of hours required.

  • Lactation snacks, and light meals are also offered if desired.

  • In the even of overnight support needed, or more complex cases where a clinician is needed for either lactation, or mental health issues, I have ample resources, and support to reach out to.

  • Postpartum support is offered hourly at $35.00, and is comprised of individualized support for the family.

Reiki

Reiki, pronounced rei-ki a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient's body and restore physical and emotional well-being.

I hold a reiki certification 1, and enjoy being able to connect with women in this incredibly beautiful tradition. Come as you are, ready to close your eyes, and just be.

  • Sessions are offered either in your home, or in a downtown rented space I use.

  • Interested in reiki, but not sure it’s for you? Reach out, and let’s talk

  • Sessions are 60 minutes for $40.

PLACENTA
ENCAPSULATION

As a certified Placenta Specialist through Placenta Benefits Inc., I process placentas using the Traditional Chinese Method. This is a process that is composed of cleaning, steaming, dehydrating, and then encapsulating the placenta. While herbs are used during this process, nothing comes into contact with the placenta. This process is offered either in your home, or my personal space. I will be on call for the placenta, and will pick up immediately after delivery, no matter the location of the birth, (previously discussed). Placenta pills are brought to you around 72 hours after birth, where we spend some time discussing directions for taking pills, and I offer any advice, or answer any postpartum questions you may have. I offer a phone consultation prior to contract signing so we can discuss the exact process as pertaining to you and your birth & needs.

A La Carte
$ 300

Typical yield is 60-150 capsules, depending on size of placenta. Vegetarian capsules are used, but vegan can be requested. While there is no flavor to the pills themselves, herbs are used during the process, includes lemon, ginger, and lavender. Secured in a new glass jar, the pills will be stored in the fridge.

Full directions for usage will be discussed in person during our postpartum visit when I deliver pills. I require a phone consult prior to the signing of the contract to secure placenta service.

ADD ON’S:
Choclate Placenta Truffles
$20.00

(yields approx. 6)

Tincture
$20.00

(6 weeks to process for use in later postpartum/for menses or menopause)

Postpartum

Postcards for Postpartum is an opportunity for women across the world to connect with one another during that first month of new life. Bringing home a baby is hard, because not only are you bringing home a tiny human, but you're also bringing home a new you. At times, it can feel isolating, tiring, and lonely. But, the truth is, we aren't alone. And sometimes, it’s the little reminders that can help ease us through the day to day-during what is arguably one of the biggest transitions of your life!

So, here's the deal! If you’re a pregnant woman, wanting to receive postcards from some cool random lady strangers, then click the box titled “I’m interested” below to get started! Once baby comes, make sure to send a follow up email letting me know that baby has arrived, along with a short paragraph about how things went & how you’re doing, at which point I will dispatch the details to fellow women around the world who have also signed up, and you will start to receive postcards of solidarity. You won't get more than 10, because, well, because that's just the number I came up with, haha, and there's no obligation to write back.

Just read the words, let them sit with your heart, reminding you, that even in the hardest moment's you face in postpartum, you are being held, and supported, by so many other women around the globe.

Speaking of globe! If you are one of these women that wants to write postcards, then I need your information. Click the box titled “I’m interested” below to get started! Once I get your email, I’ll confirm you’re on the list, and then you just chill until you hear from me with the name of your postpartum mother out there in the world who could use some sage advice, or maybe just a word of encouragement, or maybe you just want to say: “Hey, how’s it going? Hang in there. You’ve got this.” Whatever is it, someone at home needs to check their mailbox and read what you’ve got to say. Sounds good? Cool, yes, let’s do it.

Open to all women, of all nationalities, of all colors, creeds, religions, nations, continents, perspectives, whatever. You do not have to have birthed a baby to write.  Only requirement is to be nice, supportive, loving, and please keep it simple!

Please, reach out with any questions you have. I'm all ears. Big love to you all.

This support circle will be held weekly for the new mother, or on an as needed basis.

Come as you, in this new phase of life, to be centered and grounded through a guided meditation that will lend way to an organic discussion about life as a new parent. Doula-led, we will allow for mother's to share what is happening in their transition from maiden to mother.

Healthy snacks will always be served, and lap babies are welcome. Donation based only. Location and time TBD, please reach out for more details.
